Day 1: Arrival in Surabaya or Yogyakarta – Transfer to Mount Bromo
Upon arrival at Surabaya Airport or Train Station, meet your private driver and guide and begin the journey to the Mount Bromo area. Enjoy scenic countryside views before arriving at your hotel near Mount Bromo in the late afternoon or evening.
Note: we can pick you up anywhere in Surabaya area, and the pick up time is very flexible, because first day normally is just transfer and check in.
For travelers starting in Yogyakarta, transfer can be arranged by train or private car (but we recommend train option because it’s more affordable but the timing is fix, around 6:45 am or 11:30 am)
Overnight: Mount Bromo area (Cemoro Lawang, Ngadisari, Sapikerep Village)
Day 2: Mount Bromo Sunrise Tour – Transfer to Tumpak Sewu
Mount Bromo Sunrise & Crater Experience
Early morning departure by 4WD jeep to the famous Mount Bromo sunrise viewpoint. The pick up is around 3 am when we think it will be crowded, we will start earlier, we will go to Kingkong Hill or similar hill for the sunrise. On clear days, enjoy panoramic views of Mount Bromo, Mount Batok, and Mount Semeru as a background.
Continue to the Sea of Sand and walk to the Bromo Crater, one of Indonesia’s most iconic volcanic landscapes. The whole experience will end around 9 am and back to hotel afterwards.
Afternoon Transfer to Tumpak Sewu
After breakfast, drive east toward Tumpak Sewu Waterfall, located in the Pronojiwo village, Lumajang Town.
Overnight: Tumpak Sewu / Pronojiwo Village
Day 3: Tumpak Sewu Waterfall – Transfer to Kalibaru
Visit Tumpak Sewu Waterfall
Explore Tumpak Sewu Waterfall, widely known as the most beautiful waterfall in East Java. Its dramatic curtain of water surrounded by lush cliffs makes it a highlight for nature lovers and photographers. Normally we start at 6 am or earlier to avoid the crowd later on, we start at the view point then walk down at the bottom at the waterfall, the trip itself lasts around 3 hours.
Note: The trail involves stairs, small rivers and uneven path.
Drive to Kalibaru
In the late morning after breakfast, we will continue to Kalibaru village, a peaceful highland area famous for plantations and farm.

Day 4: Kalibaru Eco Plantation (Aroma Tour) – Transfer to Sukamade Turtle Beach
Kalibaru Eco Plantation & Aroma Tour
Enjoy a guided Kalibaru Eco Plantation Tour, also called the Aroma Tour, where you’ll see coffee, cocoa, cloves, cinnamon, rubber, and tropical fruits. Learn about traditional cultivation and processing methods while walking through lush plantations. This activity starts around 7/8 am after breakfast and last around 1-2 hours.
Transfer to Sukamade Turtle Beach
After packing, we will travel normal car until Rajegwesi Village then we change our car to 4WD vehicle to Sukamade Turtle Beach which is very necessary for this road, located inside Meru Betiri National Park, the journey will take around 1h30m and includes off-road section, rivers and beautiful rainforest scenery.
Evening Activity: Adventure activities at Sukamade Turtle Beach, including turtle spotting. The tour will start at 8 pm, you will be briefed in a group with the local ranger then walk about 300 meter to the beach.
Note about the accommodation in Sukamade turtle beach area:
The accommodation here is pretty basic, it’s just a normal bed with a hand shower (small bucket), and without fans, or AC but it’s comfy enough for your adventure here.
Overnight: Sukamade Turtle Beach
Day 5: Sukamade Turtle Conservation – Transfer to Ijen Area
Around 7 am, we have to be ready to release some baby turtle back to ocean where they belong, The national park rangers will give you the baby turtles that are ready. It’s very crucial moment, because from 10 baby turtles that we released, mostly it’s only 2-3 of them are alive due to nature cycle such as eaten by predators.
After breakfast, begin the scenic drive north toward Banyuwangi for overnight stay before visiting Ijen Crater.

Day 6: Ijen Blue Fire & Crater – Transfer to Bali
Ijen Blue Fire Tour (if visible)
Depart around midnight for the Ijen Blue Fire tour. Hike to the crater to witness the rare blue flames (subject to weather and volcanic conditions), followed by sunrise over the turquoise sulfur lake. The trekking starts around 2 am after we park the car and it needs 2 hours trekking, make sure you wear some layers, because first 1 km it’s still cold but after 2-3km, it will be hotter and cold again when you wait for the sunrise.
Note: A sunrise-only/day trip to Ijen Crater tour can be arranged for travelers who prefer an easier option and no need waking up too early.
Transfer from Java to Bali
After the tour and breakfast, transfer to Ketapang Harbor, cross by ferry to Gilimanuk, Bali, and our Balinese driver will welcome you then continue by our private car to your hotel anywhere in Bali.
